     Likely the original (linear decay) version of this peak envelope detector may need preserving along with any new one.  For example, we have existing products that could function in an unpredictable way should the code change.  I understand from  http://ez.analog.com/message/86755#86755

that existing blocks in a project do not update merely because the source schematic is recompiled with a newer version of SigmaStudio, but if for any reason the original block is deleted in the source, the replacement block could only be from what is available in the current version.

 

     BTW -- the decay box in the present block is labeled, not as dB/s like with some other blocks, but instead as, K/s.  If the letter K means "constant", this describes exactly how its decay presently operates -- a constant amount is deducted each time interval.
