I now have two devices working. I have tested them using this code :

I realise that I have to change the code for multiple devices to either use non-blocking reads or one thread per device. I will think a little deeper about this issue and implement a fix at some stage.
One other thing I am interested in is whether there is a way to get the Linux IIO subsystem to sample from all of the codecs at the same time so that they are sample locked ? Any ideas ?
One problem I have noticed is that the HDL code isn't locked on CS ... the image shows the chip select lines for the two codecs measured at their pins, and they aren't aligned, which suggests that there will be sample skew.
