Re: ADIS16251 vs. ADIS16265 Performance

Hi NevadaMark,

The values that I gave were in decimal so by 260 I meant 0x0404. Sorry, I should have clarified.

Thanks for the suggestion on these settings. It makes sense that undersampling would cause aliasing at higher frequencies, possibly affecting measurement of ARW since it's a fairly high-frequency effect. We tested three parts of each type in this study and the results for each are similar to what I've shown here.

Are these settings that you've provided also the ones used by Analog Devices for the original characterization tests to obtain the data sheet value for angle random walk? We would be interested in seeing if we can reproduce the data sheet values (or the updated values you provided above) for the two sensors if we use the exact settings that were used in the characterization tests. Could you provide those values for both the 16251 and 16265, as well as the capacitance of the capacitor used in the hardware filter (C_INT in the data sheets), if one was used?

Also, I understand that the ADIS16265 has better performance in terms of bias over temperature than the 16251, but can you explain what you mean when you say that the gyroscope core is better?

Thanks for all your help so far!
