Hi Beck,

Are you trying to connect to a BF609 EZ-Kit or a custom board that uses this processor? If you're using a custom board, please confirm it complies with our JTAG Emulation Technical Reference Guide, EE-68.

Do you have access to any other target boards? If you do, please let us know if you have connect without any problems using your ICE-100B.

You mention the ICE Test is failing at the 4th step, Determining Scan Path Length. This particular step of the test determines the number of different JTAG devices located on the target hardware to which the emulator is connected. As you can see from some of the error messages your receiving, the tools are unable to detect the processor on your target board.

How many processors do you have on your target? Are you working with the standard BF609 platform within CCES or have you created a new one within the Configurator?

We have seen cases in the past where target connection errors have been caused by the target board booting a corrupt image from flash. Please try changing the boot mode of your target so it boots from a different location, power cycle the board, and then try to connect again. Do you still encounter the same errors?

What LEDs light up on the ICE-100B when you try to connect to a session or when you run the ICE test?

Regards,

David.
