Re: ADE7878 Current Transformer Question

Hi Guilherme_Adao,

Look for the rated phase error of CT's in data sheets, many CT's should not have a phase shift greater than the max phase delay possible on our part. For example, a CT such as the Pulse PA3200NL specifies a phase error of < 0.05 degrees, this is a small phase shift that can be compensated by the ADE7878. There are also other CT's to choose from such as VAC but note that the DC tolerant ones will sometimes have a larger phase shift.

Are you trying to avoid a hardware phase compensation?

Regards,

Dlath
