have you seen the ADC output on chipscope?i have a suggestion,try to build a sine wave using dac_dma_setup() function and comment the dds_setup function in main...the dac_dma_setup function relies on vdma to generate a sinewave using a look up table which can be found in xcomm.c,the frequency of this Sine wave depends on the clock of vdma.try doing that and then tweak ADC and DAC sampling rate and see if it changes the frequency of the sine wave output signal
