I am planning on using this chip (ADV7180) for video applications however I noticed there is a vertical sync, horizontal sync, and frame output however this is not part of the BT.656 standard. The BT.656 standard has 8 data bits, and a clock signal, why are there vertical sync, horizontal sync, and frame outputs on this chip if they are not part of the BT.656 standard?
