Hi Taylor,
From the information you provided it looks like you have a problem with the device drivers for the EZ-KIT which as you rightly assumed is preventing you from connecting to CCES.
Can I check if you are powering the board via USB or do you have power going to the board as well as having a USB cable connected? If you only have a USB cable connected can you apply power using the power supply you received with the board.
If you still have problem then when the EZ-KIT does not correctly show up in the device manager can you check for an unknown device. If you have an unknown device would you try manually installing the EZ-KIT driver to see if this successfully installs the driver for the EZ-KIT. To do this right click on the 'Unknown device' and select 'Update Driver Software...' and then 'Browse my computer for driver software'. Next, point to the following location and click Next to install the driver:
C:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio\Setup\Emu_Drivers\WmUsbIce
If you are still encountering problems here's a couple of things I would like you to check:
First ensure that you are you connecting to the EZ-KIT via a USB port native to your PC, if you are using a USB hub, can you try connecting the USB cable from the EZ-KIT directly to the PC. If you are connecting directly to a USB port then try connecting to a different USB port. Lastly, can you try a different USB cable.
If you are still having problems then please can I ask you to have a look at the following FAQ:- FAQ: I have a faulty Emulator/EZ-Kit. What do I do? and contact private support being sure to include a completed Emulator RMA form.
Regards,
Colin
