On table #73 of page #103 of ADV7513 Programming Guide. The "power up condition" is:
- HPD = "1" (monitor or HDMI cable plugged in),
- Regx41[6] = "0"
- PD pin = "0" does it mean the PD pin need to be grounded ? so the ADV7513 slave address is 0x72
How about if address 0x7A to be used ?
In my work, PD/AD pin is driven by a FPGA's output port to logic "0" after system was powered up (so power-down PD pin is active high?), I did program ADV7513 successfully with address 0x72 thru i2c bus i.e. the ADV7513 did send the slave acknowledge signal and has been observed. Then I wrote '0' to reg41[6]. Is it the right sequence to power up the chip as I read the first paragraph of section 4.7.1:
"ADV7513 will only power up if both power down pin and reg41[6] are inactive ('0' and '1' respectively ..."
Please, bare with me for "silly" question(s), but I'm desperate, been stuck here for too long without knowing where to turn to put some visual sign on a monitor ... lol
It is not difficult to make a chip with a default, basicconfiguration or minimum set up required ready to be used, isn't it?
