How to validate AD9361 TX & RX performance in FMCOMM ref design

Hi

I am working with AD9361 FMCOMMs2 Zed board. I faced several issues need to be resolved.

What is actual procedure to validate RX performance and TX performance?.

The procedure I follow:

I give a WiMAX signal generated in Agilent signal studio to RX port 1 and observe in IIO oscilloscope both time domain and frequency domain. I cant perfectly validate constellation so that I save it as VSA or .csv format. And then I import that file to my Agilent VSA 89600. In this case some .csv files are imported but no constellation nor spectrum observed.( I assume my VSA settings are proper). The matlab procedure mentioned in getting started is seems to be difficult. So please suggest in VSA format.

For TX case I load the same saved file (mentioned in RX case) in fmcomm tab where TX DDS mode is set for DAC buffer output and transmit via TX port 1. In this case I observe the TX spectrum again in my VSA. Some times I could see the spectrum but with more bandwidth (Transmitted is 10MHz) and no constellation.

I followed the above procedure for BWA_MB AD9361 Eval boards and it worked fine.

What about TX/RX filters are the needed in this evaluation. I need WiMAX filters but those are not available.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Srikanth
