SPI bi-direction DMA

Hi,

I understand that there is only one DMA channel on the 214xx SPI. My question is, can I flip the DMA direction in the ISR and let the DMA alternate between transmitting and receiving? Will there be penalty or latency associated with flipping the DMA direction?

I am using SPIB in slave mode, if it matters.
