Thanks Stu - Yes it was me doing something stupid. However now that my Hello world program builds correctly it will not display the printf message on the console window. No runtime output at all.

Hi Charles,
Do you mean because of the link error? If so, then no. The error is just asking you to define a "main" function in the project you've created. e.g.
main(){
}
What is the project that you are trying to build?
