HDMI mode not detected on ADV7512

Hello,

I have a HDMI repeater product using the ADV7512 and a ADV7511.  I am debugging an issue with a particular STB that we do not play nice with.  The video output has a red shade, and is sometimes shifted.  I have figured out that we are setting the output to DVI mode because the 7512 reports that it is DVI mode on the input (or at least it fails to recognize that it is HDMI mode). 

I have added debug statements to RXLIB_HdmiIsr in rx_isr.c:

RXLIB_HdmiIsr HdmiInts.HdmiModeChg 0 hdmi mode 0

RXLIB_HdmiIsr HdmiInts.HdmiModeChg 0 hdmi mode 0

Detected DVI VIC = 20

REP_EVENT_DETECTED_DVI_VIC 20

I have second system with the same parts, and same firmware that seems to work.  Here are the same debug statements:

RXLIB_HdmiIsr HdmiInts.HdmiModeChg 0 hdmi mode 1

Any ideas what might be going wrong here, or where I should look deeper?
